T.E.R.O Drug Policies Insurance Hoopa Tribe Application

Forestry Sulviculturist, Tribal Forestry-Reg-F/T $42,000-$45,000 Yr. DOE. This position is responsible for development, and application of silviculturist methods and practices. Is also responsible for independently planning the work, analyzing the environmental conditions and other considerations involved, determining appropriate treatment, preparing silvicultural prescriptions and/or environmental assessment report coordinating and implementing the approved silvicultural  plan with operating staff, and ensuring that the prescribed approach is followed.


Minimum Requirements:

Must have a Four yr. Degree (BA or BS) in Forestry.

Must have 5 years experience in Silviculture or forest development.

Must have 3 years supervisory experience.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Must be able to perform duties at a professional level.

Must have GIS experience or Arcview experience.

Must be punctual and dependable and a self starter.

Must be in good physical condition.

Must possess a valid California driver’s license and be insurable.

Must be 18 yrs or older

VACANT POSITIONS

The Hoopa Valley Tribe is seeking qualified applicants for the following positions

Timber Management Officer, Tribal Forestry-Reg-F/T $50,000-$57,000 Yr. DOE. This position is located on the Hoopa Valley Tribal Reservation with the Tribal Forestry Department, where the incumbent has primary responsibility for the planning, implementation, and administration of the timber management program.  The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise in support of the unit's recreation, timber, fire, wildlife, silvicultural, and reforestation programs.


Minimum Requirements:

Must be a California Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or meet or exceed the  qualifications for a California (RPF)

Must have a Four yr. Degree (BA or BS) in Forestry.

Must have 5 years experience in Silviculture or forest development.
